Terms of Service

Welcome to YourKnow ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our platform at yourknow.com and associated services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using YourKnow, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

YourKnow is a real-time collaborative workspace that provides:

You may register using email (magic link sign-in), Google sign-in, or join as a guest. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed.

You must not create accounts for the purpose of violating these Terms, impersonating others, or engaging in fraudulent activity.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

4.1 Free Plan

The Free plan provides core collaboration features at no cost, including up to 3 groups and 3 session attendees.

4.2 Pro Plan

The Pro plan is a one-time payment of $4.99 USD that unlocks additional features permanently, including unlimited groups and up to 10 session attendees.

4.3 Enterprise Plan

The Enterprise plan is available at $5.99 USD per month or $54.99 USD per year. It includes up to 50 session attendees, 50GB storage, and advanced team features. Enterprise subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled.

4.4 Refunds

Pro plan purchases are non-refundable as they provide immediate and permanent access. Enterprise subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, but refunds for the current billing period are not provided. Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion.

You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or share through the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to upload, create, or share content that:

6. Content Moderation

We employ automated content moderation tools to detect inappropriate images and flagged content. Users who upload content that violates our policies may receive warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent account termination at our discretion.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service, including its design, code, features, logos, and documentation, is owned by YourKnow and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or practices of third-party services. No third-party scripts on this platform are used for malicious purposes — all integrations serve legitimate product functionality as described above.

11. Collaboration Sessions

Live collaboration sessions may include real-time document editing, video/audio communication, and screen sharing. By participating in a session, you acknowledge that other participants may see and interact with your contributions in real time. Session hosts and group administrators have the ability to manage participants, including removing users from sessions.

12. Data and Storage

Storage limits vary by plan. We may delete or archive inactive content after extended periods of inactivity (12 months or more). We recommend maintaining local backups of important documents. We are not liable for data loss due to system failures, user error, or account termination.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or fail to pay applicable subscription fees. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and your content may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YourKnow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YourKnow, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
